As the season comes to a close, it’s easy to want to jump right into what’s next—new goals, new routines, and upcoming events. But before rushing ahead, it’s important to reflect back on this past season and see how much you’ve grown. Whether this was your best season or one filled with challenges, there’s value in looking back before moving forward.
One of the most effective ways to reflect is through thoughtful questioning or journaling. Start by asking yourself: What did I improve the most this season? This could be something technical, physical, or mental.
Next, think about the challenges you faced and what you learned from them. Maybe a setback taught you the importance of resilience. Maybe a disappointing performance revealed where you still need to grow. These lessons are not failures; they’re building blocks for your future success.
It’s also worth reflecting on how you've grown mentally and emotionally. Did you become more confident? Did you learn how to bounce back from frustration in a healthier way? Perhaps you became better at calming your nerves before competition or staying focused under pressure. Growth in these areas can be harder to measure, but they often make the biggest difference in performance and well-being.
And don’t forget to celebrate! Too often, athletes only celebrate the big wins—medals, scores, rankings. But there’s so much more that deserves recognition. Celebrate the effort you put in, the risks you took, and the courage it took to keep showing up, even when it was hard. Growth isn’t always flashy, but it’s always worth celebrating.
Wrapping up the season with reflection, gratitude, and purpose sets the tone for continued growth. Take a look and see how far you’ve come — and let’s finish strong!
BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO...

CALLING ALL DANCERS — FREE MASTERCLASS!

Been there, done that!
That’s why I created my FREE Masterclass - 3 reasons why being positive is NOT helping your performance, and how to have the best run of your variation on stage...
JUST IN TIME FOR COMPETITION SEASON
In this masterclass, I share my take on perfectionism, 3 reasons why being positive is NOT helping your performance, and 3 ways to effectively improve your performance!
Quick Reminders
Scheduling:
Please remember that you are responsible for scheduling your child's coaching sessions. Sessions can be scheduled via the online portal. In the effort of making this coaching as beneficial as possible, please note that the sessions should be one-on-one between the athlete & Emily. We love parents! However, athletes speak more freely with an outside/3rd party which leads to more beneficial coaching.
Lastly, please try as best as you can not to schedule sessions when in the car. As convenient as it might sound to schedule the session on the way to rehearsal or practice, more often than not this causes video calls to cut in and out (or freezing) which results in a lot of wasted time. Again, we want this coaching to be as beneficial as possible, and malfunctioning video calls take time away from the session.
Online Portal:
The online portal is where you will be able to schedule sessions and download/share documents as needed. Please bookmark this link (you can also find in on the CMC website): https://championmindsetconsulting.clientsecure.me/
You can also download the free app (for iPhones AND for Androids) for even easier access to scheduling.
Cancellation Policy:
I don't experience late cancellations often (and for that I am very grateful to you all!), but every once in a while it does happen. Because this takes away a spot from other athletes who would've liked to get in, we will be enforcing the cancellation policy which states that any session cancelled less than 24 hours ahead of time is subject to a $25 fee. I completely understand that sometimes things happen that are beyond your control, so in these situations please reach out.
Waiting/Cancellation List:
If you are trying to schedule your athlete and the day/time you want is taken, please reach out to me and I will put you on a cancellation list for that particular day/time. If a cancellation occurs, I will contact you first to see if you'd still like that spot!
For dancers & gymnasts who are committed to achieving their goals, mastering mental skills such as cognitive reframing, relaxation exercises, emotion control, visualization, and empowering self-talk is not just beneficial - it’s CRITICAL.
Our online training programs teach the same mental skills that are taught during one-on-one sessions in a step-by-step format. They walk the athlete through the learning and practicing of the skills, how to implement the skills in practice, class, rehearsal, competition, etc., how to piece together a pre-performance routine for peak performance, and so much more!
These online training programs are available on their own for those who wish to work independently, as well as in bundles for those who prefer to add one-on-one coaching sessions! Athletes receive lifetime access to the program and can review skills whenever they need. These all-inclusive bundles are our most cost-effective & convenient options for gymnasts and dancers who wish to begin mental performance coaching.
